chantel cherisse lucier is presently a member of The Living Theatre chantel worked with Ma-Yi Theater Company (www.ma-yitheatre.org) in the Public Theater's Festival: 365 Days/365 Plays by Suzan-Lori Parks (www.publictheater.org). Ma-Yi's production of 7 of Park's plays was performed at The Zipper Theatre (www.zippertheater.com) on Friday & Saturday, August 10th & 11th followed up by a condensed version performed at the Public Theater on Sunday, September 9th, 2007. chantel currently performs with the Stop Shopping Gospel Choir at the Highline Ballroom The Choir will perform every Sunday for the next three years starting December, 2007.
Their documentary film "What Would Jesus Buy", directed by Rob VanAlkemade and produced by Morgan Spurlock, premiered at "South by Southwest" this past Spring and was just released nationwide this November, 2007. chantel is also a member of The Living Theatre. Chantel recently performed with the Living Theatre in "Mysteries and Smaller Pieces" at their theatre in NYC. A piece she also had the pleasure to perform in Ecuador for the Fite-Q Experimental Theatre Festival last Winter, 2006. She has also performed in the theatrical street performances entitled: "No, Sir!". chantel is a founding member of woken'glacier theatre company, a New York based experimental theatre group whose aim is to integrate a very truthful psychological theatre with View Points, Suzuki and Martial Arts. She has acted, directed & written for this company over the past 3 years.
