mi mama (valerie q.) has been performing since i was a little girl. she brought me up backstage. She has performed internationally as a singer,dancer and actress. She dances tango and salsa professionally and is well known for her work as a big band, latin and jazz singer. She has done everything from cabaret to big shows such as "Sugar Babies", Dance Between the Lines (LA and SF casts) and is currently with "Beach Blanket Babylon" (the longest running show in San Francisco) at Club Fugazi.

mi abuelita (kaye stratford) was a comedienne, a dancer and a singer. She performed all over the country and though she was one of the shyest people i knew, she won "best legs" at the World Fair.

mi papa (armando duval quevedo) is still performing and he's over 80! He plays conga drums, guitar and sings a heart felt bolero like nobody else. He was a famous MC back in the day. He performed at the Sinaloa and after meeting my grandmother they opened their own club called the Bohemian Gardens in San Francisco.
